Three friends off a church worship team who kept writing after the Sunday set was over. They released five recordings between May and October of 2016, posted about each one, and then kept working for four more years without releasing anything else.

The music

Five recordings, posted one at a time over five months, each announced with a short note on the band’s own site. The text under each title is the original post, word for word.

Four of the five now play from this site directly. They are the band’s own mixes — the same files that were uploaded in 2016, not re-encodes pulled back down — and each still links to its SoundCloud original. Great Are You Lord is a cover of someone else’s song and stays where the band put it.

Finished, and never posted

Six more

The five above are everything the band ever announced. Behind them sat a folder of mixes that were finished and then simply left there. Six are complete recordings — full arrangements that fade out at the end rather than stopping mid-idea — and they are online here for the first time, in 2026, straight off the band’s own bounces.

Nothing has been remastered, retouched, or re-encoded. The levels jump around between them, because they were mixed months apart and never sequenced as a record. There are no release dates to give: these were never released.

Three people

The band

Reachable Heights came out of the worship team at Radiant Coast in Ludington. Same three people, same Sunday mornings — but a catalog of their own instead of somebody else’s set list. The band never listed its members anywhere public; the site and the SoundCloud account only ever carried the name.

Jessica Hein

Lead vocals. The strongest voice in the room, and the one pushing for original material early — in November 2016 she was already saying they should “try to write a real worship song.”

Andrew Lucero

Bass, guitar, and backup vocals. He had been playing bass and guitar alongside Brandon at Radiant since 2016 and called it “a bucket-list item, complete.”

Brandon Martinez

Guitar, bass, drums, keys. Recording, production, and mixing. The band lived in his studio.

Everything else

Eleven recordings are playable on this page — the five from 2016 and the six above. Behind them sits roughly 54 GB of recording sessions holding twenty-nine original songs and twenty-one covers that were written, tracked, and in most cases mixed — and then never put anywhere.

The titles are listed here because a title is the last part of a song to disappear. What is not here stays private: click tracks, guide vocals, half-mixes, working drafts, and the covers, which are somebody else’s songs. Titles marked ▶ are playable above.

The two metal arrangements — Reckless Love and Build My Life, both finished in early 2018 — are the strangest things in the folder and the most fun. Worship songs run through a drop-tuned guitar and a double kick. They are also the reason none of the covers are posted here: they are somebody else’s songs.

The last session

The final dated jam in the archive is April 10, 2020 — three weeks into the first lockdown. The last file anyone saved is a song called We Are Home, touched April 17, 2020. Nobody announced anything. There is a stray console test from February 2021 and then nothing.

Both EPs got as far as finished cover art. Neither got as far as a track list. The Worship photograph is a long exposure of the dock and the treeline at night — the same picture the web site used, cropped into a starfield at the top of this page and a horizon at the bottom.

The site

There were two of them. The first was a WordPress site running the “unicon” theme, live from May 2016, where all five songs were posted. Six posts total — five songs and one announcement. That announcement, from May 16, 2018, is the last thing the band ever published:

Revamping Our Online Presence

As we figure out what we want to accomplish in ministry and worship, we are continuing to figure out how to utilize our online presence. Expect more stuff coming here and all across the web soon!

The revamp did happen. WordPress came down and was replaced with a single static page — the logo, one SoundCloud player, and a copyright line reading Copyright © Reachable Heights 2016. The humans.txt file shipped with the template placeholders still in it, and js/main.js was zero bytes. The “more stuff coming soon” never arrived. The band kept recording for two more years and never posted again.

This page is built on the design of that last holding page: the same logo, the same night-sky background, the same treeline along the bottom.

About this archive

How this was put back together

This is an archive, built in 2026. It is not the band’s original site, and Reachable Heights is not active. The domain lapsed and was re-registered specifically to hold this page.

The words come from three places, and none of them were rewritten. The five song posts and the 2018 announcement were recovered verbatim from the WordPress RSS feed as captured by the Internet Archive on December 4, 2018. The logo, the night-sky photograph, and both EP covers are the original files, still in their layered source form. The catalog of unreleased songs was read off the recording sessions themselves.

The audio changed in 2026. Ten of the eleven recordings now stream from this site’s own storage, so they no longer depend on anyone else staying in business — they are the band’s own mixes, uploaded unaltered from the session archive rather than pulled back down off the web. Each of the four 2016 originals still links to its post on the band’s SoundCloud account, which is still online and still theirs. Great Are You Lord is the one exception: no local copy of that mix survives, and it is a cover of someone else’s song, so it remains an embed. If SoundCloud goes away, that one player goes with it.

The six recordings under “Six more” had never been published anywhere before this page. They are here because the alternative was a hard drive.

Nothing was invented and nothing was corrected. Where a sentence reads oddly, that is how it was written in 2016.
